Peninsula Group Foundation

As a people focused business, our genuine care to help others is embedded through Peninsula’s very core, extending into the communities in which we live and work

Passion, commitment and dedication are interwoven throughout our business. Providing support for others is what we do.

Just as The Peninsula Group Foundation oversees the running of our fundraising efforts and charitable giving, our values define our purpose and vision. They are at the heart of everything that drives us. It’s a pairing that allows us to give back to our communities while building and elevating every aspect of our business-driven decisions.

Our business is defined, not by what we gain, but by what we give back

Our employee-led charity committee continues to look for innovative ways to raise funds for our chosen charities as we pledge our support to worthy causes around the globe.

We are extremely proud to have raised £3m for Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital between 2019 – 2023. £2m of this was dedicated to their iMRI scanner appeal, with an additional £1m for their general appeal.

#We Care

We’re stronger together, working together as a team. It’s absolutely key.

How we have raised £3m to date

Peninsula Group empowers its employees, encouraging everyone to get involved in our charitable giving. Together we can achieve incredible things. Some of the ways in which we raise money include:
  • Payroll giving
  • Skydiving
  • Bake sales
  • Manchester Dragon Boat Race
  • Humphrey’s Heroes adrenaline series
  • Running events including Greater Manchester Half-Marathon, the Great North Run, London Marathon, Manchester 10k
  • Fancy dress events in the office
  • Match funding charity events
  • Abseiling
  • Making a Difference….Together corporate campaign
  • NEW for 2024 - A global day of giving

Peninsula is a really good place to work. It’s easy for me to say that but not only do we build better businesses, we help support, encourage, and grow better employees.

Group Chief Operating Officer

Inspiring individuals

At the start of 2024, following the success of our partnership with RMCH, we asked our employees to reflect on what is important to them, nominating causes that truly mean something to them that we can support together.

We are proud to support and promote awareness of lesser-known charities and worthwhile causes in the regions and countries where our companies are based, in order to make the biggest difference.

That's why we have chosen the following charities for our next partnerships:

UK: DEBRA UK, Together For Short Lives and Air Ambulances UK Over the next three years, we will raise £1million for each of these three charities, for a total commitment of £3million.

Ireland: BUMBLEance Over the next two years we will raise €300,000 for the charity, €150,000 in each year of the partnership.

Canada: SickKids Over the next three years we will raise $100,000 for the charity.
